Under the patronage of the Styrian University Conference, a Science Slam will once again be held live at the Orpheum in Graz on 28 September 2022.
Interested researchers are sought who will present their topic in six minutes in a concise, vivid and beamerless manner.
At the end of the evening, the audience will vote for the slam champion who will win 500 euros and participate in the Science Slam Final.
Getting children excited about science, research and art – that’s the motto of the KinderUniGraz. Researchers from the University of Graz, the Medical University, University of Technology, the University of Music and Performing Arts, FH Joanneum, FH CAMPUS 02, PH Steiermark, PPH Augustinum arouse the interest of the young audience.
With the Sustainability4U initiative, the four Graz universities are bundling sustainable activities. For example, a joint mobility concept has been developed and a lecture series has been established at which recognised experts from all four universities and prominent speakers address the audience.
They were role models in the new teacher training. Since 2015 year, all teachers in south-eastern Austria have been trained at Bachelor’s and Master’s level. The Universities of Graz and Klagenfurt, the Graz University of Technology, the Graz University of the Arts as well as the Universities of Teacher Education of Styria, Carinthia and Burgenland and the Private University College of Teacher Education Augustinum offer the teacher training programme for Secondary Level General Education jointly.
Career, partnership, family and mobility combined: The Dual Career Service of the five Styrian universities and the University of Klagenfurt supports new professors, young researchers, artists, administrative managers and their partners in relocating to Styria.
More than 5,000 students take advantage of the 21 studies offered in NAWI Graz. In this cooperation, the University of Graz and the Graz University of Technology coordinate their natural science research and teaching in five areas: Bioscience, Chemistry, Earth, Space and Environmental Science, Mathematics and Physics.
The University of Graz and the University of Music and Performing Arts Graz have been jointly offering the Bachelor’s and Master’s programme in Musicology since 2006. The focus is on ethnomusicology, jazz and popular music, music in history, music aesthetics as well as music psychology and acoustics.
